Apple cider cake is delicious and easy to make. It remains moist and scrumptious because of its key ingredient: apple cider.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups of self-rising flour
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups of chopped apples
  • 1 tsp. of baking powder
  • 1/3 cup butter (cut into small pieces)
  • 5 tbsp. of raisins
  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2/3 cup of apple cider
  • 8 inch cake pan
  • Wire cooling rack or waxed paper
  1. Step 1

    Grease an 8 inch cake pan and preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Step 2

    Sift the flour and baking powder together in a bowl and add butter. Mix together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

  3. Step 3

    Add the sugar, chopped apples and raisins and mix until well-blended.

  4. Step 4

    Pour in the cider and egg and mix until well-blended.

  5. Step 5

    Gently stir in the raspberries.

  6. Step 6

    Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 40 minutes.

  7. Step 7

    Let the cake cool a bit and then turn out onto a wire rack or waxed paper to finish cooling.
