Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Access to email
- Postcards
- Business cards
Step1
Sharing similar interests is a good way to bond.
Pick an interest that you want to share with other women. Have one in mind? Great. Now what you need to do is get the word out that your looking to join with others.
Step2
While email is a great way to contact friends, and have help spread the word, you might want to do some leg work on your own first. As leader of the group you're going to want to make some decisions. Ask important questions. How many members? Where can you meet? You don't need to go overboard in preparations but some basic idea of what and where you want to group to go helps when it comes to creating documents to help get the word out.
Step3
Know that there are a number of sites online that can help you spread the word. Evite has a great layout to let you create your announcements or invitations if you choose to use email. Vistaprint can help you create a business card that you can set out at churches or school or community centers and their prices are very reasonable with great quality work. You can choose from many of their images to sort of create a logo or upload one of your own if you have one. It's always a great idea to have some sort of image that you can repeat on magnets or letter or in emails to help represent your group.
Step4
Decide on the tone. Is this going to be a laid back group where you don't have dues or don't mind if folks arrive late? Or is it a stock market group where chit-chat and gossip will be viewed as a waste of time? You set the tone and it's best to set it early so there are no misunderstandings.
Step5
Pick a time. Will you meet in the mornings, evenings or weekends? Find a date that you can repeat your scheduled gatherings making it easy for many to remember.

on 1/8/2008 Well it seems the knitting clubs and others are popular right now but theres nothing stopping you from creating a men and womens club - it's the topic that brings you together!

on 1/8/2008 The woman's club is a wonderful idea but many of my closest friend are male. I would hate to think that I missed out on their insight.
