Before you know it, the day is over. Time to push away from the keyboard, set down the marker and exit the building. Before you leave, take a few minutes to review all you've accomplished for the day. Just follow these steps to begin experiencing increased productivity at work!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • List of tasks from the work day
  • Blank sheet of paper for the next day's list
  • Something to write with, pen or pencil

Checking Your Productivity Task List

Step1
Shut off your computer and pack your bag to leave work. You will be less likely to be prompted to check email yet again.
Step2
Take a few deep breaths and review your task list. Reflect on how many tasks you crossed off your list. Most days, there will be a lot more accomplished than you expected.
Step3
Move tasks that were not completed to the list for the next day.
Step4
Take a minute and reflect on why some tasks were not completed. Time? Difficulty? Not relevant and should not be on the list?
Step5
Make a quick note on the next day's list so you know why you didn't accomplish the task. Note any patterns or one-time events.
Step6
You're done!

Tips & Warnings

  • Be proud of all you accomplish in a day!
  • Do your best to keep this process going. It will pay off in the long run!
