Things You'll Need:
- Ticket
- Identification

Step 1
There are millions of people that travel through the airport during the holidays. The first thing you want to remember is to arrive early. If you are taking a domestic flight and need to check luggage, arrive two hours before your flight. If you are traveling internationally you should arrive 3 hours early (whether you have luggage or not).
-
Step 2
Before approaching the security check point have your boarding pass and ID (drivers license or passport) out and available for the screener. If you are traveling with your family put the ID's on top of each boarding pass and hold them in the order each person will pass through security.
-
Step 3
If you have carry on luggage make sure you know what it permitted on board by reading the information available on the TSA web site. All acceptable items should be in a small plastic zip lock see through bag and placed in the bins for examination. If you have any electronic equipment they will be carefully scrutinized so put them in a bin together (especially computers which must be out of it's case). Ladies..this is no time to wear extra jewelry and hairpins...put them in your purse and put them on in the gate area while waiting to board your plane. Men...watches and wallets belong in the bins. Fold the baby stroller up and put it on the security belt. Remove overcoats and suit jackets.

Step 4
Shoes have to be removed, so it's a good idea to wear socks ladies. You really don't want to catch anything. Although the floors are mopped each and every night, there were thousands of feet..ugh..that passed through before yours.
