Things You'll Need:
- Snowy day
- Free time
- Warm clothing
-
Step 1
Check for great packing. Light, flaky snow doesn't pack well. Wet snow is ideal for making snowballs. But those desperate enough should scoop snow from the bottom of a pile. Snow that has been weighed down can usually be packed into acceptable snowballs.
-
Step 2
Designate targets and make up a point system. Score 10 points for nailing the target and five for coming within 10 feet of it. Fire hydrants, trees and telephone poles are always inviting targets.
-
Step 3
Now that's one big snowball!Play snowball catch. Stand three feet apart and toss a snowball to a friend. Continue stepping away from each other and attempt to make successful tosses. The player that drops the snowball first or throws one out of reach to the opponent loses.
-
Step 4
Create the largest snowball in the history of the neighborhood. Get at least five friends to help role up a 10-foot snowball. Try to push it up a hill and watch it roll down.
-
Step 5
Place 10 snowballs in the freezer. Keep them frozen in an iced cooler. Take them out in August and place them outside various businesses in a busy section of town. Watch the reactions of the stunned patrons as they enter and leave the stores. Be quick about it though. The snowballs will melt fast.
