Stocking gifts are usually the first gifts we receive on Christmas Day. They are fun to stuff with surprises. Everyone gets a great joy out of stocking gifts. Stocking gifts are like the teaser before the real thing. It is always a great feeling when you walk into the room with the stockings on Christmas morning and there they are overflowing with gifts. Preparing stockings can be somewhat challenging. You must think big but on a small-item scale.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

When preparing a stocking, you have to have the gift receiver in mind. What does this person want or need? Stockings can be filled with all sorts of gifts. From socks, underwear, and deodorant to music, books and gift certificates. So the individual that is receiving the gifts wants and needs to be present while preparing.

  2. Step 2

The next obstacle is the size of a stocking. It is larger than a sock but not too much. So the fillers need to be small in size. The gift itself doesn't have to be a small one, but the item placed in the stocking does.

  3. Step 3

Personalized gifts are always great stocking stuffer. Give engraved pocket knives for boys or necklaces with names for girls. Everyone enjoys a gift that is made especially for them. It makes us feel special and well thought of.

  4. Step 4

Finally, if you have the ability, it is nice to get something for the gift receiver that is going to give them some sort of thrill. Maybe they have always wanted a special lotion or video game. People often don't splurge on themselves. So if you take that initiative, it will be greatly appreciated.
