How to See Stars in the Los Angeles Sky

  1. Step 1

Take a trip up to the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, where tourists and locals get a close look at the stars and planets. Along with its famous observation room where visitors can look through different telescopes, the Observatory also has a planetarium.

  2. Step 2

The planetarium features a cosmic hour-long show that takes guests on a journey through the universe. Its hours of operation are between 12:00 noon and 10:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday, and between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. from Saturday to Sunday.

  3. Step 3

Star parties are also held once a month. They allow the public to get not only an up-close look at the moon, stars, the sun and planets, but also the opportunity to talk to astronomers about their equipment and the solar system.
