Make The Perfect Gin And Tonic
Make The Perfect Gin And Tonic

Gin and Tonic has been hailed as the perfect drink. Light, flavorful and tasty, the Gin and Tonic is suitable for any occasion.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 parts tonic
  • 1 part gin
  • lots of ice
  • glass
  • a lime
  • stirring utensil
  1. Step 1

FILL YOUR GLASS WITH ICE. Many people who make Gin + Tonics only fill a half glass. The ice brings out the flavor of the drink so don't skimp.

  2. Step 2

POUR 1 PART GIN SLOWLY OVER THE ICE. Make sure you pour slowly. This is another mistake many people make. The gin has to have the time to become cold before the tonic is mixed in.

  3. Step 3

POUR 2 PARTS TONIC SLOWLY OVER THE ICE. Make sure you pour slowly. Tonic water has a fast "bubble" effect and you want the tonic to mix slowly with the gin.

  4. Step 4

PUSH STIR SLOWLY. Push stirring is the act of taking a spoon or stirring utensil and push down on the drink and lift up. If you've mixed your drink slowly, most of the ice will have formed together and it will be difficult to just stir in a rotation style. Again, push down on the ice until your stirring utensil is at the bottom of the drink and lift up slowly.

  5. Step 5

ADD A LIME. Sliced, diced, quartered. The choice is yours. Some people like to squeeze the juice into the drink, others like to set it on the rim. Again, that is your personal preference. ENJOY!

Tips & Warnings
  • Do all the steps above SLOWLY!
  • Use a good Gin product and a good Tonic product
  • Do not drink and drive
  • Do not drink in excess
