When we get into a pattern or predictable routine, we tend to start to feel sluggish. Our body has adapted to the routine and knows when it's going to be nourished and when it will have to exert itself. Change things up a little and give your metabolism a jump start.

How to Boost Your Metabolism

Step1
Deviate from your normal routine. If you are used to working out in the evening, try doing it in the morning. Set your alarm 30 minutes earlier or stay up 30 minutes later.
Step2
When it comes to exercise, change the days you work out. Change your type of workout. If you regularly lift free weights, use a stairmaster for a couple weeks.
Step3
Add some metabolic boosters to your diet. Ginger helps with the circulation and works with the digestive system to better absorb nutrients. Bee pollen and royal jelly are high in B vitamins and will help fight fatigue.
Step4
Do breathing exercises. One of the best ways to increase energy is to learn to breath better. Breathing deeper allows the body to increase its oxygen uptake. More oxygen means more energy to the muscles.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you are eating a well balanced diet.
  • Drink lots of water to flush away toxins.
  • Consult a physician before starting a new exercise program.
