1. Just watch and listen. If you spend enough time listening to the announcer and watching games, you will figure it out.
2. Head to the library and pick up a football coaching or football basics book. There are sure to be many, and they will explain a number of the terms.
3. Ask your husband, but don't do it during the game. It is very likely he will be happy to talk football with you.
4. Rent a video. Like books, there are many instructional videos that can be found.
