Whether they are play online or at casinos, poker tournaments gather a group of competitors who play until only one champion is left standing. A Guaranteed Poker Tournament just means that the prize money is guaranteed no matter how many people participate. It's easy to find these contests.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find guaranteed poker tournaments in your area or online. Search the casinos within driving distance for poker games. Most of those games will be guaranteed as they want to bring business in and will set a bar high enough for people to come and play. Sites like tournamentmonitor.com provide a comprehensive list of tournaments online.

  2. Step 2

Register for the poker tournament. At the live casino, allow yourself plenty of time to get there as these tourneys fill up fast since they are guaranteed to pay out. See if you can pre-register. The same goes for online games; you want to reserve your spot in the hotter games sooner rather than later.

  3. Step 3

Pay your money and receive your seating assignment. The last step of registration is receiving your seat. Once there, be sure to count your stack to make sure you have the correct amount of chips.

  4. Step 4

Wear your poker face and win the whole tournament. Now that you are at the table, it's time to play your game, your way. The good news is that the only thing you have to lose is your entry fee, so bet aggressively and leave it all on the table.

Tips & Warnings
  • Play in games with friends. You probably want to start out at different tables, but it's a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with the guys.
  • Gambling can be addictive. If you have a gambling problem, seek help at Gambler's Anonymous immediately.

You packed alot into the article. It's tough to win some of the bigger tourney's considering the popularity of the game right now. Wish I had started 15 years ago.
