There are not enough languages in the world to tell the ones we love or admire how beautiful they are. American Sign Language offers a beautiful and distinctive method of expression.

From Quick Guide: Learn to Use Sign Language
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Practice signing the words. The first word in this phrase is "You" or "U." The word You is formed by pointing out toward the person(s) with your pointer finger. Form the letter U using your pointer and middle fingers, press them together and point them upward while the other three fingers are curled into your palm.

  2. Step 2

Form "Are." Rotate your hand to the palm side, while forming the letter R with your fingers. To form R, twist your middle finger on top of your pointer finger while the other three fingers are curled into your palm.

  3. Step 3

Finish your phrase. "Beautiful" is made by rotating your right hand around your face counter-clockwise. Begin with your fingers closed over your thumb, hand placed at your lips. As you rotate the hand, open it to extend your five fingers with the palm side turned in towards your nose. End with the hand back in its original position, resting at the lip line.

  4. Step 4

Add flow and movement to the words. Practice the three words together and in front of a mirror, so that you get a nice smooth motion to your compliment. Now you are ready to share it with someone.
