Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Grow more in less. Hydroponic gardens require less space than soil gardens. Plants grown in water can be planted closer together than plants grown in soil so you can grow more plants and get more vegetables.
Step2
Plant your hydroponic garden anywhere. As long as you use artificial lights for your plants you can even grow your water garden in your garage. Hydroponic gardening is great for people who do not have large yards.
Step3
Produce healthier vegetables that are free from soil borne pests and diseases. Hydroponically grown vegetables are fed the exact nutrients that the plants need to produce the healthiest vegetables possible.
Step4
Eat fresh grown vegetables year round. Since many hydroponic gardens are grown indoors, you can keep your garden producing fresh vegetables right through the winter. You're not limited by traditional growing seasons.
Step5
Spend less time tending your garden. Unlike a soil garden, the hydroponic version doesn't need weeding or mulching. After you learn the basics of water gardening and get your hydroponic garden set up, you will find that your garden is virtually maintenance free.
Step6
If you have the room, you can start a profitable business. Hydroponic produce is in great demand, particularly in urban areas. You can become a hyrdroponic farmer without the high overheads incurred by traditional growers and sell your produce in greenmarkets or roadside stands.
