How to Knit a Triangle Rib Stitch

Knitting is a fun and relaxing craft. With two needles and a skein of yarn, you can make many different patterns and it will get easier the more you knit. The Triangle Rib Stitch is done in the reverse stockinette stitch and the regular stockinette. Knitting between the right side and the wrong side makes the triangles. Here are the steps to knit the Triangle Rib Stitch.

Instructions

    • 1

      Cast stitches on one needle in multiples of 8.
      Row 1:(Mark this as the Right Side): *Purl 2, Knit 6; repeat from * across.
      Row2: *Purl 6, Knit 2; repeat from * across.
      Row 3: *Purl 3, Knit 5; repeat from * across.

      Continue your stitches in the following pattern:
      Row 4: *Purl 4, Knit 4; repeat from * across.
      Row 5: *Purl 5, Knit 3; repeat from * across.
      Row 6: *Purl 2, Knit 6; repeat from * across.

      Complete additional stitches as follows:
      Row 7: *Purl 7, Knit 1; repeat from * across.
      Row 8: *Purl 2, Knit 6; repeat from * across.
      Row 9: Repeat Row 5.

    • 4

      Finish your patternw with the following steps:
      Row 10: Repeat Row 4.
      Row 11: Repeat Row 3.
      Row 12: Repeat Row 2.
      Work in a pattern until it's the length you want, and then cast off.
