1
Take a look at your bedroom space. Eliminate any clutter that might be taking away from your sense of peace. Bedrooms tend to be the one place where junk gets stowed. Keep things that remind you of your daily life, like your PC, out of the bedroom.
-
2
Create zones in your bedroom sanctuary. If you're lucky enough to have the blank slate of a big open room, designate an area for reading with a soft area rug, a comfy chair and good lighting. Mark off a makeup and dressing area. A new trend is a bathing area set off by a low wall for privacy.

Think about your spa and borrow some of your favorite elements for your bedroom retreat. Maybe it's the candles that create ambiance, the luxurious sheets or the soft music playing. Now all you need is someone to give you a massage.
-
4
Choose furnishings that reflect your personality. Dress your bed with an elegant comforter and the best sheets you can afford.
-
5
Select a tranquil, peaceful color scheme for your bedroom sanctuary. Go with muted pastels, like powder blue. The bedroom is probably not the best place for a funky orange wall. Instead, inject bright color in the room with your accessories.
