Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Read the submission guidelines carefully. Even if you are experienced in submitting sites to the DMOZ ODP, the rules and regulations may be slightly different when submitting a kid's site.
Step2
Find a site you'd like to submit and evaluate it to make sure it's kid-friendly. The site should be actively maintained, well written and free of erroneous information.
Step3
Navigate to the Kids and Teens branch of DMOZ and search to make sure your proposed site isn't already included in the directory or hasn't been submitted (see Resources below). Check if a mirror site has been submitted. A mirror site has a different URL than your kid's site, but contains exactly the same content.
Step4
Choose a top-level category from the front page that best suits your site. If you're unsure where your site fits, browse through the listings in some categories to learn what type of content each one holds.
Step5
Choose subcategories (lower-level categories) until you arrive at one that specifically describes the site. This category is a suggestion to the DMOZ editors as to the best place to list your site. The editor will evaluate both the site and the directory while reserving the right to change it.
Step6
Click on the "Suggest URL" link.
Step7
Fill out the submission form. Include the site's URL, a title, a description and any other information.
Step8
Enter your email address or the email address of the site's webmaster if you are submitting for someone else. The email address must be a valid address so that a DMOZ editor can reach you if necessary.
Step10
Wait for the submission to be reviewed. This may take some time, but don't resubmit unless at least three weeks pass and the site still isn't listed.
