ASALH (Association for the Study of African American Life and History) is an organization founded in 1915 by Carter G. Woodson, a civil rights pioneer. The association was started to share information about the history of Black America with the world. For over 80 years, there has been a luncheon that recognizes African Americans who have contributed to the mission of the ASALH. The best part is that anyone can attend and enjoy the Black History Month festivities.
