If your spouse has just been working too hard, or if the romance in your relationship needs rekindling, then kidnapping your spouse for Valentine's Day may be the cure for the romantic blues. Whether it's a weekend trip to a bed and breakfast or a simple night out at your favorite restaurant, a plan to kidnap your spouse will lead to a romantic Valentine's Day memory.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blindfold
  • Car
  1. Step 1

Ensure that your spouse is free to be kidnapped for Valentine's Day, or any part of the day. If you don't want your spouse to catch on to what you are planning, consult a co-worker or supervisor, if possible.

  2. Step 2

Take inventory of what your spouse likes to do or has wanted to do for a long time. Make that wish part of the kidnapping plan.

  3. Step 3

Obtain a blindfold that your spouse will wear when you kidnap him.

  4. Step 4

Approach your spouse, whether she is at home, at work or any other location.

  5. Step 5

Put on the blindfold. Do this with a smile to suggest an element of fun and surprise.

  6. Step 6

Kidnap your spouse by leading him to your car. Make sure he doesn't bump his head when getting inside!

  7. Step 7

Take your spouse to the predetermined destination. Your spouse may try to get you to divulge the location, but keep it a surprise. In the meantime, you could play some romantic music while driving.

  8. Step 8

Arrive at your destination and lead your spouse out of the car.

  9. Step 9

Take off the blindfold when you are ready to show your spouse where you have taken her.

Tips & Warnings
  • The element of surprise is the key. Be strategic in planning this day so your spouse won't suspect a thing.
  • Take your spouse to a location where you can recreate your first date. Try to bring back as many elements as possible, such as where the date took place, what music was playing or what you were wearing.
  • If you're feeling a bit wild, and if you know your spouse would be accepting, put a pair of handcuffs on your spouse when you blindfold him. Make sure you don't lose the key!
  • Don't hesitate to recruit the help of a friend, co-worker or family member in carrying out your plan.
  • If the kidnapping involves taking your spouse out of town, be sure you won't be taking her away from some pressing matter that she must attend to the next day. Nothing dampens the mood more than having to abort the mission.
