A great Valentine's Day gift is sometimes a few small presents in one. By creating a gift basket, you can indulge several of your loved one's wishes in just one gift.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Basket
  • Chocolates
  • Wine
  • Lingerie
  • Photos
  • Gift cards
  • Ribbon
  • Cellophane
  • Valentine
  1. Step 1

Decide to whom you are giving a Valentine's Day basket. Depending on the age and sex of the person, you will want to buy different items and baskets.

  2. Step 2

Choose a basket or a container. A wicker basket is always nice, but you might want to arrange gifts in a Valentine's Day box instead. Try assembling children's boxes in fun, colorful containers.

  3. Step 3

Decorate the container. A romantic gift basket should be lined with flowers or decorated with swirling ribbons. A basket for a child can be decorated with stickers or family pictures.

  4. Step 4

Fill the gift basket with things your loved one will enjoy. An adult basket can include a valentine, wine, chocolates, items for the bedroom and tickets to some event. A children's basket should include chocolate, a small toy and a valentine. No matter what you choose, put together the basket with your loved one's interests in mind.

  5. Step 5

Wrap up the gift basket. Cut a large piece of cellophane to wrap around your gift. Tie the cellophane together at the top with fancy ribbon and deliver it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider leaving your gift basket by the recipient's nightstand to discover when she wakes up.
  • Create a new tradition with your loved one's gift basket. If the two of you aren't interested in the typical Valentine's Day fare like chocolate, try giving one another teas or coffees.
  • If you're creating a gift basket for your husband, get your children in on the fun. Have them create something special for their father and display it prominently in the basket.
  • Do not include inappropriate items in a gift basket that you intend to give publicly. Your loved one may want to open the basket immediately, but may become upset if he pulls out something that is only meant for the bedroom.
  • Do not put small or expensive items like jewelry into a gift basket that you deliver, since they can get lost.
