1
Purchase the candy for which you will be making personalized wrappers. Since you will be replacing the old wrappers, you don't have to buy Easter candy--it can be any kind of candy bar.
-
2
Remove the outside wrapper from the candy bar, leaving the foil wrapper in place. Cut the ingredient panel off the wrapper and set it aside to glue onto your personalized version. It's important to provide this information in case your recipient has food allergies.

3
Measure the wrapper's height and length and write them down. You will need to know them to set the dimensions on your word processing program. However, if you choose not to use a program to create the entire wrapper, you can trace the wrapper on paper and glue clip art directly onto this paper.
-
4
Choose an image to put on your wrapper. You can use a digital photo or choose appropriate Easter clip art from a website or computer program. There are many popular websites like BlueMountain that have free images and candy wrapper templates available to download (see Resources below).
-
5
Open a new document on your word processing program and set the tabs to match the measurements of the candy wrapper.
-
6
Import your image and move it around until you are satisfied with the placement. Alternatively, print the clip art image to glue onto your handmade wrapper or use rubber stamps to create an Easter pattern.
-
7
Add personalized text to the wrapper, either by hand or in your document. Print the document if necessary and use markers or colored pencils to add color to images that are printed on a black and white printer.
-
8
Wrap the paper around the candy bar. Make sure to center the image and text. Fold it around the edges of the candy bar and place a thin line of glue on the edge that overlaps at the back.

Tips & Warnings
A glue stick will work better when gluing your Easter wrapper in place. White glue can run and smear on the candy's foil wrapper.
