Things You'll Need:
- Confectionery disks or chips in white, milk or dark chocolate
- Bunny molds
- Binder clips
- Small-tip pastry brush
- Confectionery decorating tube and tip
- Lollipop sticks
-
Step 1
Purchase a dimensional bunny mold from your local craft store. These molds are sold in sets, with a separate mold for each side of the bunny.
-
Step 2
Melt the confectionery chocolate, making sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions. If you are using a microwave, it is better to heat the product in short 30-second bursts.
-
Step 3
Use melted colored or white chocolate confectionery chips to add features to your bunnies. You can either paint in the eyes, nose and even a bow tie with a brush, or pipe them in using a confection decorating bag and tip.
-
Step 4
Allow the bunny's features to set before coating the inside of each of the molds with a layer of melted chocolate. Tip and turn the mold to ensure that all sides are coated.
-
Step 5
Apply more coats of melted chocolate until you have reached the desired thickness for your bunnies.
-
Step 6
Clamp the two molds together using binder clips and place the bunny in the freezer to set. You should allow at least 5 minutes for the chocolate to harden.
-
Step 7
Unmold the bunny and trim off any excess chocolate along the seam line with a sharp knife.
-
Step 1
Purchase a flat bunny mold. Typically, these molds will be made with multiple bunnies in a single sheet. You may also find models with slots to place the lollipop sticks when molding.
-
Step 2
Heat the chocolate following the manufacturer's directions.
-
Step 3
Fill the bunny molds to the top with chocolate and lightly tap them on a flat surface to remove any air bubbles.
-
Step 4
Lay the lollipop sticks down the center of the mold, making sure that they are coated with chocolate.
-
Step 5
Allow the chocolate to set in the freezer for at least 15 minutes or until hardened.
-
Step 6
Pop the chocolate bunny lollipops out of their molds and wrap them in cellophane to preserve their freshness.
