How to Make Italian Chicken

This chicken dish is a snap to prepare, and it is a wonderful alternative to a jar of spaghetti sauce! Add any seasonings and flavors you like to your spaghetti sauce to make this dish your very own. Serve over cooked pasta with a tossed salad and hot garlic bread for a quick and complete family dinner!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. hot red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 26-oz. jar low-sodium spaghetti sauce
  • Cooked pasta

Step1
Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place in bottom of slow cooker.
Step2
Pour sauce over chicken. Add seasonings and stir to coat thoroughly.
Step3
Cover and cook on low about 6 hours or high about 3 to 4 hours, depending on the size of your chicken breasts and your slow cooker.
Step4
Serve over cooked pasta.
