How to Make Tarragon Chicken

This dish is so easy to whip up in the slow cooker that you'll want to make it all the time. It's a great company-friendly dish, too, because it serves up well. Serve it with a wild or white rice mixture and a tossed green salad and you have a simple and elegant family dinner. Read on to learn how to make tarragon chicken.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 10 3/4-oz. can 99-percent fat-free condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried tarragon
  • 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
  • Fresh ground black pepper

Step1
Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Remove any visible fat. Place in slow cooker.
Step2
Combine remaining ingredients in a medium bowl, whisk to combine completely.
Step3
Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker. Top with freshly ground pepper.
Step4
Cook on low about eight to 10 hours, or high about four to six hours, depending on your slow cooker and the size of the chicken breasts.
Step5
Serve over rice or noodles.

Tips & Warnings

  • Dried tarragon works just fine for this recipe.
