How to Make Valentine's Day Pancakes

Everyone wants to do something special for their partner on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, when Valentine's Day falls on a weekday, it's hard to find the time to do something special. Luckily, there are easy recipes that can be prepared in only a few minutes. Your partner will be amazed at the taste of these Valentine's Day pancakes that only take a few minutes to make. Read on to learn how to make Valentine's Day pancakes.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 frozen pancakes
  • 1/2 lb. of fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of strawberry pie gel
  • Whipped topping
  • Piping bag with star tip
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter
  • Plate
  • Two forks
  1. Step 1

    Rinse and slice the strawberries. Combine the slices with the strawberry pie gel.

  2. Step 2

    Cook the pancakes according to the package directions. Allow the pancakes to cool slightly before cutting with the cookie cutter.

  3. Step 3

    Arrange the six hearts on the plate with the edges slightly overlapping. Top each pancake with some of the strawberry mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Place the whipped topping into the piping bag and pipe a star on top of each pancake.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve with fresh squeezed orange juice.
  • The strawberry mixture can be made the night before.
  • The whipped topping can be added to the piping bag the night before as well.
  • Do not overcook the pancakes or they will be tough.
