You've sent out your invitations, hired your wedding vendors, and are putting the final touches on your wedding planning festivities. The last month or two before the big day are always hectic, yet memorable. Planning a wedding, engagement party, and bridal shower is enough to fluster any blushing bride. Then comes the dreaded event brides must deal with: the bachelor party. While she may have a little bachelorette party of her own, surviving her husband to be's last night as a single man can be treacherous. Find out how to support your man while having some fun of your own.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • A solid group of girlfriends
  • Creativity
  • Understanding
Step1
Talk with your significant other about his bachelor party plans. You can even speak with his best man who traditionally plans the big night out. The more you know about his evening of celebration, the more likely you'll feel comfortable with it.
Step2
Remember that you are the special lady he is choosing to marry and a bachelor party is more of a symbol than anything. A right of passage if you would. A marked milestone of transitioning from a bachelor lifestyle to married man. If you have any reservations about the event, remember that it's not personal.
Step3
Plan your own bachelorette party. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't have to be in Las Vegas and it doesn't have to involve a half-naked exotic dancer. Hey, your guy might even be inspired by your idea to forgo a traditional "last night single" bash and get creative.
Step4
Gather your girlfriends or relatives for a night out on the town with you. You can even plan it on the night your significant other is having his bachelor party. This will not only take your mind off of what he's doing, you'll have a blast.
Step5
Recruit a trusted male friend or relative to go to his bachelor party. Okay, so the eHow staff doesn't necessarily condone spying, but if your guy sees someone close to you at his party, he's more likely to respect your wishes. That means letting his buddies dance with the hired entertainer of the evening and having a drink instead.
Step6
Throw a joint bachelor and bachelorette party. The both of you are more likely to enjoy yourselves if you're in the company of each other. This eliminates any jealousy or feelings of being left out.
Step7
Plan a destination bachelor party for him. Women are great at party planning and paying attention to detail. What would please him more than having his future wife get in on the action and plan a golf getaway for him and his friends one weekend? Nothing impresses a guy more than a woman that takes charge.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always keep busy the day and night of his bachelor party. The less you think about him straying from you for the last time, the better you'll feel.
  • Never question his fidelity or love for you simply because he's having a bachelor party. It's traditional, fun, and his right.
