How to Make High-Nutrition Breakfast Shakes

Breakfast blender shakes can be delicious and high in protein and nutrients. Here are the basic steps to produce a smooth, tasty and healthy blender breakfast.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 oz. plain yogurt
  • 1 small banana
  • 2 tbsp. smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. malted milk powder
  • Blender
Step1
Slice the banana into the blender. Spoon the yogurt and peanut butter on top of the banana.
Step2
Pour about 1/2 cup of milk into the blender, covering the ingredients. Cover and blend until smooth.
Step3
Add 2 tbsp. of plain malted milk powder, and pour the rest of the milk into the blender.
Step4
Cover and blend until creamy. Makes two servings of high-nutrition breakfast shake.

Tips & Warnings

  • For extra protein, add 2 oz. of a pasteurized egg product.
  • Experiment with other fruits or try adding 2 oz. of orange juice concentrate.
