How to Talk to a Reporter After a Volleyball Match

Step1
Take a deep breath before you begin speaking. Don't be afraid to pause- this means you are chosing your words carefully.
Step2
Look the reporter in the eye- especially if it is for a television interview. Be personable and gentle, and they will do the same for you.
Step3
Be positive about not only your own team but your opponent as well. Whether you won or lost, be sure to say something good about them.
Step4
Recall specific moments from the match that apply to what you're talking about and use it as an example for clarity. Assure them you know what you're talking about, and are passionate about it.
Step5
Be concise with your words, and be clear at the same time. Keep in mind you are representing your volleyball team as an articulate spokesperson.
