Be the most vocal person on your team. Everyone should know your voice on the court.

Show exceptional work ethic so that your teammates have a good example to follow.

Be friends with everyone and let them know they can always ask you for advice or help.

Be the liaison between the coach and the team. Talk about necessary conflicts when appropriate to both the coach and other players. Be sure to remain impartial as much as you can.

Know every detail of your schedule. Know when and where the next practice is, when the next game is, who you're playing and who the opponent's key players are. Be knowledgeable about volleyball.

Step 6
Do things for your teammates that will get them fired up for the practice, game or season. Leave notes in their lockers, send them an email telling them of their strengths, drop a care package off on their doorstep. Be a constant reminder of volleyball.
