Instructions

    • 1

Position the oven rack in the center of the oven.

    • 2

Preheat the oven according to package directions, usually 400 degrees F.

    • 3

Remove the pie crust from the freezer and thaw on the counter for about 15 minutes.

    • 4

Prick the bottom and sides of the crust dough with a fork. This helps prevent bubbles from forming in the crust as it bakes.

    • 5

Place the pie crust directly on the oven rack in the center of the oven.

    • 6

Bake the pie crust according to package directions (about 10 minutes) or until the crust is golden brown.

    • 7

Cool the pie crust completely before filling.

Tips & Warnings

  • Deep dish frozen pie crusts are best for cream pies.

  • If the bottom of the pie crust bubbles while cooking, it will start to flatten when you remove it from the oven. While the crust is still hot, gently press the bubble(s) flat.

  • Keep pie crust frozen until ready to bake.
