Creating your website is only one step in marketing yourself online. Now that you have a site, you must get it noticed. This means getting your website to pop up on search engine lists. There are a few simple ways that you could get this done.
Choose the search engines you would most like your website to be listed on, such as Yahoo! and Google.

For Google, navigate to the Google Crawl URL (google.com/addurl).

Add your website link. Then type the two words that appear in the Captcha window. Click the "Submit Request" button.

Navigate to the Google AdWords site (adwords.google.com) to determine whether adding an advertisement for Google on your website will suit your needs.

To add your website to the Yahoo! search engine, look at the links above the search keyword section and click the "More" link. Select "All Search Services" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "For Site Owners" link at the top of the page.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Submit Your Site" link. Follow the directions listed there.
