Identify the coat you want to make shine.

Go through your jewelry box. You might have some oversized pins, earrings or other things that might make the coat look interesting.

If you would like to make this coat makeover permanent, then take those bobbles and affix them with a glue gun or sew them on. If you do not, then just pin them on.

You want to make sure that you don't over do it. Start at a lapel that looks like it needs something, and then work from there.

Scarves can go a long way in dressing up a coat so don't be afraid to have many of them made of different fabrics and different lengths.
