1. Figure out exactly what you want to buy. This is going to help you really get a great deal and cut down on hours of frustration. Of course, if you like to browse, go for it.
2. Log on to eBay and look for key words in “All Categories” first.
3. Determine how much you really will pay for the thing you have your heart set on.
4. Does your item have an actual brand name? Try common misspellings when looking for it too. This happens a lot and you can steal a deal because of it.
5. Keep looking for it, you will find it. It maybe categorized differently than you think. Make sure you try all avenues.
6. When you find it, play it cool and only bid what you have decided that you are willing to pay for it. Then go looking for more, so if you lose this one, you still have others to fall back on.

Tips & Warnings

• If the pictures look fuzzy, there might be a reason. I would be wary of bidding on that item.
• Look at the seller’s rating, if it is below 98%, don’t bid.
• Watch your shipping costs, as they could be outrageous. Take that into account when you are bidding.
