Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Set some ground rules with your partner concerning money. When the two of you are away from the house let the other person know your feelings about money and the bedroom. Inform your significant other that your finances are not to be discussed while in your bedroom. Keep them up to date on why you feel this way. Let your partner see that talking about money while in the bedroom takes away from the wonderness of the bedroom.
Step2
Once you have set the ground rule, discuss where and when you feel talking about money is acceptable. When you have money troubles it is probably a great idea to wait to discuss them until the two of you are alone. You should also refrain from talking about money immediately after you have gotten home from work. It makes sense to wait until you have relaxed and you and your partner have a clear head.
Step3
Now that you and your partner have established where and when to discuss your money issues, you can feel better about your bedroom. It is important to keep one place in the home for the two of you to be romantic. It is hard to be romantic when discussing money, so keep your bedroom for you and your partner. Leave your other worries at the door.

on 4/26/2008 I never thought of it like that...but it's along the same lines of no TV in the bedroom. Focus on being together! Thanks for the article.
