How to Purchase Great Concert Tickets

If you love going to see concerts, here's a way to score great seats all the time. Be patient. It's like gambling; the stakes get bigger with every roll of the dice--over time.

1. Set yourself up in front of your computer a few minutes before the start of the sale for the concert that you want to go see.

2. Become a member of that site and register with them if you often buy tickets through a site like Ticketmaster.com.

3. Register online. On the site's home page, there is usually an option to either "Sign-In" or "Register new accounts" on the top corners of the page. Find it and click "Register new account."

4. Follow the instructions and enter in all your personal contact information, credit card, address and whatever else they need from you. Registering with the site makes expediting purchasing possible when it comes time to buy the tickets. Now you're ready to find tickets and buy them.

5. Once you complete the online registration form and created a username and password, then you're all set to place your order. Instead of having to fill in all your credit card and billing information when the computer prompts you to complete a sale, you'll already have done that and just need to "sign-in" and the site will already have stored your information in its database.

6. Play the ticket lottery system. How it works is: Random seats will be selected at whim by the computer upon each try you make to find available tickets. You may not score great seats upon the first attempt, but if you don't like the seats that are being offered to you, you have the option to return those and look again for other seats. Every time you give up seats, they go back out to the ticket cyber space and get tossed back into the lottery for another potential buyer to get.

7. Maximize your chances by calling Ticketmaster or whatever other agency you're trying to get these tickets from. If you get a busy signal, keep calling back again and again until you finally get through.

8. Keep tossing back unwanted tickets online until you come upon the ones you want. When you come upon the desired seats, buy them right away.

9. Go back and keep trying to find better seats than the ones you just got. The odds get better after your first bought pair. You'll come to discover your gambling mentality gets tapped into and the excitement of searching for better tickets than the ones you have intensifies.

10. Keep the best pair and sell off the others. This way, not only do you have tickets to the show, but you also have your pick of great seats.

• Keep up the search and you're bound to get better seats the second and even the third time you keep playing your odds.
• There is usually a six ticket maximum per ticket buyer, so if you're buying a pair of tickets at a time, you can only buy up to three sets in total.
