Store-bought muffin mix is so easy to prepare, but the flavors can be a bit bland. Luckily, you can easily improve store-bought muffin mix by simply adding a few ingredients. Afterwards, you'll be able to serve them to friends and family without them knowing that you used a mix. Read on to learn how to improve store-bought muffin mix.

Things You'll Need:

  • Muffin mix of your choice
  • Extract of your choice
  • Chopped nuts of your choice
  • Berries of your choice
  • Non-stick muffin pan
  1. Step 1

    Prepare the muffin mix according to the package directions.

  2. Step 2

    After mixing the muffin mix, add a tsp. of extract and stir.

  3. Step 3

    Stir in a 1/2 cup of chopped nuts and pour the muffin mix into the non-stick muffin pan.

  4. Step 4

    Top with berries and bake according to the package directions.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be creative and try different berry and nut combinations.
  • Try adding different fruits, such as bananas or cooked apples.
  • Do not over stir the muffin mix or the muffins will be tough.
