Set up your workspace. Fold a few paper towels in half then in half again to create a pad. Next to the paper towel pad fill a small bowl with 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water and a small amount of lemon juice. Next to the liquid mixture set up a small container filled with baking soda. Fill a cup with water for rinsing your brush between cleaning. Prepare your purse for cleaning by using a larger dry brush to remove any loose dirt that may not be visible to the naked eye.
Step2
Dip one of your smaller brushes (a toothbrush works well) into the liquid mixture then onto the paper towel pad so it is not too saturated. Next dip the brush into the baking soda to lightly coat the brush. Begin to clean the soiled area of your canvas purse by brushing in one direction. Do not use a circular motion and do not press to hard. It should resemble the motions that occur when peeling a potato, quick downward thrusts.
Step3
Wait for the purse to fully dry before removing anything that has been left behind. Using a dry brush, remove the excess baking soda that remains. If necessary you can use a damp paper towel to wipe the surface. For stubborn stains you may repeat the process.
Tips & Warnings
Be sure to use as little liquid as possible.
You must allow the purse to dry between applications.
Viva brand paper towels work the best because of their cloth-like texture.
Over saturating your purse may cause it to stain; remedy this by using this method minus the baking soda.
