  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon green food coloring

  1. Step 1

Melt the butter and marshmallows in a large pan over low heat. When it has dissolved, add the vanilla flavoring and green food coloring.

  2. Step 2

Stir in the corn flake cereal and mix until all of the corn flakes are coated.

  3. Step 3

Line two cookie sheets with waxed paper.

  4. Step 4

Grease your hands with butter. Scoop out 2 tablespoons of the corn flake marshmallow mixture and place it on the wax paper.

  5. Step 5

Make a hole in the center of the mixture to make the shape of a wreath. Sprinkle the green wreath with small red candies as a wreath decoration.

  6. Step 6

on 12/20/2007 Maybe it is just my older tastebuds but I think the flakes taste so much better then any rice cereal treat. This is a great activity to keep the kids out of the tree until it is time to open presents.
