- Refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- Flour
- Rolling pin
- Round cookie cutter
- Royal icing
- Food Coloring
- Colored sugar
- Small cellophane bags
- Ribbon

Roll the cookie dough out on a floured surface and then cut with the round cookie cutter.

Bake according to the package directions and allow to cool.

Split the royal icing into three or four bowls and add food coloring.

Dip each cookie into a different color of icing and immediately sprinkle with colored sugar.

Allow the icing to harden and then place the cookies into cellophane bags. Tie with the ribbon to create a loop that can be hung from tree branches.

Tips & Warnings
You can use any color of food coloring, but it's best to leave at least one portion white.
Make sure the cookies have hardened completely before packaging or the icing could stick to the bag.
