Things You'll Need:
- Planning skills
- Desire to have a sewing party
-
Step 1
Ask around and make of list of your interested girlfriends. If you have anyone who is hesitant to be a part of it because they feel uncreative, make sure you explain what the event is about and encourage them to attend. They may bring any creative skill they have to contribute, or come just to learn something new.
-
Step 2
Send out your event information by email or Evite. Make sure you include the location information, date and time.
-
Step 3
Divide up things to bring. You’ll want to have everyone bring something to share, such as food, beverages, extra patterns, etc.
-
Step 4
As the hostess, you should supply additional equipment and supplies, like a sewing machine, thread, fabric glue, or anything you think is appropriate depending on what sort of projects you and your girlfriends have planned.
-
Step 5
Before the party, set up the room you will be gathering in with plenty of empty work spaces and chairs. You may also want to provide entertainment, like movies and music for the event.
-
Step 6
As your party begins, make sure everyone has a project and that they are not limited to working only on sewing projects. Crafts of all kinds are welcome.
