Step 1
Keep the cost reasonable. This isn’t the time to be extravagant. Spending $10 to $15 for a birthday present for your boss or a co-worker is reasonable. This limit is enough to say, “I thought of you.”
-
Step 2
Getting a gift card is a great birthday present for a boss or co-worker. Gift cards let you choose the amount that you’re spending and are good for a very long time.
-
Step 3
When you’re getting a gift card, choose a nice store. Stay away from discount outlets and grocery stores. A gift card to your local coffee shop would be a hit. So would a gift card to a restaurant that your boss or co-workers frequents at lunch.
-
Step 4
Homemade cookies are always a hit as birthday presents for your boss or co-worker. Make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Buy a small tin to hold the cookies, or put them on a paper plate, wrapped in cellophane.
-
Step 5
Add a pretty bow as a finishing touch. Bosses and co-workers loves getting a plate of homemade cookies, whether as a birthday present or any other reason. As an added bonus, they usually share their cookies with everyone else.

on 12/20/2007 Fun ideas! Thanks. We usually had a gift exchange at my office where everyone picked a name. The limit was $15. People came up with great gifts, like Starbucks cards and wine glasses.
