From Quick Guide: Hair Care for Women
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Redkin Rewind or hair putty
  • Small flat iron
  • Blow dryer
  • Hairspray
  1. Step 1

Get a great hair cut from a reputable salon. Now you’ve got to rock it!

  2. Step 2

Wash your hair; lightly squeeze your scalp with your towel to get the excess water of your short hair.

  3. Step 3

Get ready to style! Grab your blow dryer. This will not take very long to dry. Just blow dry while running your fingers through your hair in the direction you want it to go. If you want it to go up, flip your head upside down, if not keep your head upright.

  4. Step 4

After drying, choose your style. Do you feel wild today? Or do you need to go to work?

  5. Step 5

Grab your hair putty. The best I’ve found for short hair is Redkin Rewind. Get about three fingers dipped into the putty and rub it into your hands to warm it up

  6. Step 6

Start from the back of the head and mess your hair up with the putty. This is the time you use your hands to mold your hair how you want it. If you want a faux-hawk, this is where you use your warm flat iron guiding the hair up.

  7. Step 7

After you style your hair, you want to make sure to finish it off. Grab your hairspray and give it just a few good bursts.

  8. Step 8

Love your hair, step out the door and make people go “wow!”

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't goop up your hair too much. Always start light with product; you can always add more.
  • If your hair is thin, make sure to use a thickening cream before you blow dry.
  • If your hair is dry make sure you use a heat protectant before you blow dry
