How to Have a Romantic Evening with Your Husband
-
1
To plan your romantic evening, decide first what you would like to do for your husband. Do you want a quiet romantic evening at home? Do you want to get a hotel room and order room service? Do you want to take him to his favorite restaurant or nightclub?
-
2
Keep your evening a secret. Don't tell him what you are planning; just have him mark his calendar for "An Evening with My Wife"and leave it at that. If he can take a half-day off work, even better; you can start your evening sooner and spend more time together.

3
Make sure to get a babysitter if you have kids. This night is all about a romantic evening with HIM, not the kids. Plan enough time in advance so you can schedule your sitter, house cleaning, or hotel reservations for the same time.
-
4
Be sure to wear something new, be it a dress, a costume or HIS favorite color teddy! You deserve a prize and so does he! So, go shopping a few days ahead of time to be sure to pick out the right thing. If you happen upon a prize especially for your man, pick that up too. He'll appreciate any extra thought you put into your evening.
-
5
If you opt for the hotel room, call the hotel that morning and see if you can get into your room before your hubby gets home from work. If they allow, decorate to your hearts content: flower pedals, bubble bath, candles, champagne or a bottle of wine with fruit and cheese tray for snacks.
-
6
If you are staying home for the evening, have your husband's comfortable clothes ready for him when he gets home, pour the wine or champagne, prepare a nice dinner and soak in each other's company for the time you have together!

Tips & Warnings
If you are on a budget or want to try something different, plan a picnic instead. Your local grocery and deli stores have several pre-made items you can pack in a basket: crackers, cheese, salami, roasted chicken, rolls, pasta/potato salads and, desserts, or call in an order to your favorite Italian restaurant and build a picnic from that!
