a glow plug burning out could make you lose power, make it harder to start or not even start at all

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • rc car
  • new glow plug
  • glow igniter
  • glow plug wrench or small socket for the glow plug

Step1
hold you car up and flip it upside down so when you take the glow plug out it dosent fall out of the glow plug wrench or socket you are using. the glow plug is located in the middle of the cooling head
Step2
this is a glow plug wrench get your glow plug wrench or socket you are using and put it over the glow plug twist to the left and it should come out fairly easy.
Step3
now that you have the glow plug out put it in the igniter to test it and see if it is your glow plug that is the problem. if it glows a bright red, orange your glow plug is still good if it is dull a not very bright the glow plug is bad.
Step4
check your manual to see what type of glow plug or ask somebody at you your local hobbie shop if your not sure. tilt the car at an angle so the new glow plug dosent fall out of the socket place the glow plug on the threads and twist it to the right don't tighten it to much and make sure that it is not cross threaded.

Tips & Warnings
