Things You'll Need:

  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp. dried hot peppers
  • 1/2 lb. beef loin, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 8 oz. bamboo shoots
  • 1 red pepper, julienned
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups steamed white rice

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients aside from the rice and oil. Allow the beef to marinade for a minimum of 30 minutes in the refrigerator, before cooking.

  2. Step 2

Remove the beef from the refrigerator 5 minutes before cooking. Allow the beef to warm to room temperature. Heat the oil in the wok on high heat.

  3. Step 3

Add the beef to the wok and reduce the heat to medium high. Cook the beef for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour over the steamed rice.

Tips & Warnings
