Ginger and honey are two flavors that compliment each other. Combine these flavors with the seared taste of fresh tuna, and there is nothing more delectable.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Pound Fresh Tuna
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, julienned
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, julienned
  • 2 Tsp Ginger, freshly grated
  • Large Skillet
  • Oil to Coat Skillet
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Small Bowl
  • Basting Brush
  1. Step 1

In the small bowl, combine the honey and ginger. Mix these ingredients thoroughly.

  2. Step 2

Slice the tuna fillet into 1/4-inch strips. Using the basting brush, coat these strips with honey mixture, salt and pepper.

  3. Step 3

Heat the skillet over medium high heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom of the skillet. Grill the tuna on one side for 1 minute. Flip the strips and baste the other side with more of the honey mixture.

  4. Step 4

After another minute, remove the tuna and set aside. Place the bell peppers into the skillet and fry just until they begin to soften.

  5. Step 5

Remove the peppers and toss with the remaining honey mixture. Serve the tuna, with the bell peppers alongside, on a bed of rice.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any firm fish can be substituted in this recipe.
  • Do not overcook the tuna.
