How to Remove Gum From Any Fabric
While chewing gum is considered a treat, it sometimes mysteriously ends up in places it shouldn't be, such as on a couch, carpet or clothing. You might think that it would be impossible to remove it, but surprisingly it's pretty easy to accomplish. So give it a shot before trying to cover up or discard the gooey mess. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

-
1
Remove as much gum as possible with a dull knife or your fingers.
-
2
Rub an ice cube back and forth over the remainder until it becomes hard and brittle to the touch. You will then be able to shave the gum off tougher fabrics with the knife and it should flake away.
-
-
3
Reapply the ice to harden any gum and repeat the process until there is no gum remaining.
-
4
Brush the spot with an old toothbrush to remove any remaining residue. Launder as normal if the fabric is washable.

Tips & Warnings
Celebrate the fact that you don't have to go buy a piece of clothing to replace the one that was covered in gum.
For an added bonus, go buy a piece of clothing just because.
Launder as normal refers to care instructions given by the manufacturer.

Thanks...my daughter used to fall asleep with a gum in her mouth. She would wake up with gum all over her pillow or even her hair! I am glad she had gotten rid of the bad habit.
