If he throws a temper tantrum, give him a pillow to pound and make sure he knows it is better to do this than to hit you or a sibling.
-
Step 3
When watching the news, point out how wrong violence is and how it affects everyone near it in a negative way.
-
Step 4
If your child is bullied at school, encourage her to involve the authorities and take positive steps to fix the situation rather than fighting fire with fire.
-
Step 5
Monitor the movies and TV your child watches, and make sure violent programs are not among those watched.
-
Step 6
Buy only positive or educational PC, Playstation, or Wii games and leave the violent ones on the shelf.
