How to Throw a Midnight Breakfast Party

  1. Step 1

Set your guest list and send out your invitations a month or two before New Year's Eve, since people's social calendars fill up quickly that time of year.

  2. Step 2

Plan activities to fill your evening. You can do play board games, organize card tournaments, watch movies, or do whatever you choose to do. Have light snacks available to guests.

  3. Step 3

Around 11:00 or so start cooking breakfast for your guests. It is the most fun when you have as much participation as possible. There are lots of options for a great midnight breakfast: made to order omelets, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, French toast, and homemade doughnuts are some of the easiest options. Serve juice, fruit and all the normal breakfast foods. You may want to serve decaf coffee though. Sit and discuss New Year's resolutions and favorite memories of the last year over "breakfast."

  4. Step 4

As dinner is over you will be ready to count down the New Year and celebrate with your guests. This fun party will quickly become a tradition that you can take turns hosting amongst your family and friends.
