How to Unwind

Relax. It’s so much easier said than done. With today’s frantic pace and daily pressures, it’s hard to find time to take a breath. And when you do, you don’t really know what to do with yourself. Here are some easy things to do when you need to stop and recharge.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Take a nap. Even a 15 or 20 minute nap can invigorate and re-energize when your batteries are running low.
Step2
Take a bubble bath. It doesn’t have to be long, but even a 15 minute bubble bath can relax the muscles and the mind. Light some candles, pour the bubble bath and let your mind go for a few luxurious minutes.
Step3
Watch a comedy. Sure it’s hard to slow down, but take a few hours and watch something mindless and humorous. It’s sure to lift your spirits.
Step4
Go for a run or hit the gym. Working out releases natural hormones, called endorphins, to make you feel better. Not only does exercise release those feel-good hormones, but all of that physical intensity helps to alleviate frustration and clear your mind as well.
