Things You'll Need:
- PC with an Internet connection
- Blog and Typepad account

Step 1
Log into your Typepad account and select the blog you want to embellish, if you have multiple blogs.

Click on the tab that says "Configure."

On the right, you will see the Widget Gallery. Click on "More Widgets" at the bottom, and then choose the category of widget you want.

Select and click on the widget you want to add by selecting the "Get it Now" button.

If the widget maker requires you to sign up, then sign up.

Select the button that says "Add to Typepad", which will take you back to the Typepad design area. Choose the proper ordering for your widget,and republish your blog.

Go to the widget maker's website and sign up.

Choose the widget you want to add.

Choose the "Get HTML" option, and copy and save all the code that is automatically generated.

Sign into your Typepad account, and select the blog you want to add the widget to.

Choose the "Typelist" option tab at the top of the page.

Choose the "Create a New Typelist" option on the right.

Choose notes as the list type, and name your new list

Paste the HTML code into this list.

Select the Weblogs tab again and choose your blog. Go to the Design tab and choose "Select Content." Scroll down to the Typelists section and make sure the box next to your new Typelist is checked. Republish your weblog. If you want to change its location, go to "Order Content" and move it to a new location.
